Again

I was here before,
standing by a shore
And the waves touched my feet,
And I gasped for breath,
because I was all alone.

A tear fell from my eye,
I couldn't tell why.
I could feel the heat
underneath,
but I wasn't really alive.

A hug is all I need,
but to whom could I plead ?
And here I am,
Again.

Turned back and had a walk,
and had an endless talk.
Lying to me, and
crying to me,
and I wouldn't stop.

I came across a cliff,
and saw an endless rift.
I dared to,
but feared too,
and I couldn't take the leap.

I turned back again.
Had a talk with the same friend.
I saw the waves,
and the shimmering rays,
And I knew I'll be there,
Again.
